Pajama Day! So cute to see all their jammies! We read "If You Give a Moose a Muffin" and headed straight to the kitchen for breakfast! We played restaurant and they got to order from their menus from the waitress/chef :) I couldn't believe what good eaters they were! What a fun day!

Crazy Sock Day
Today was crazy sock day! I was so excited to see that all the kids came in crazy socks! They got to design their own crazy socks & we read "Smelly Socks" a book about a girl who refused to wash her crazy socks!
Trasporatation
Transportation week. We learned about all types of cars, boats, trucks, planes, etc! The kids made stoplights, painted their own box cars, and had to earn their drivers license before the big race!
Valentine's
Valentines Day! We read "The Day it Rained Hearts" and "Love Splat" and "Valentines" The kids painted their canvas boards and when we pulled the stickers off it was their name! Magic :) We played with all our valentines colored sensory bins and made heart caterpillars to spell their names. Then they were so excited to get valentines from their friends.
Music Day
Today was all about music! The kids got to try playing a violin, bongo drum, flute, tambourine, and maracas! They got to make their own drums and then we had a concert with our inflatable band gear!

Names! Names! Names!
I am so excited and so proud of these kids!! When we first started practicing writing they were a little hesitant. Within just a short period of time they are all getting so good! They love to do it now and ask to erase it and start over a few times! I LOVE seeing them learn and feel confident!
These folder games spell the kids name in upper and lower case letters so they will begin to recognize both capital and lower case letters that belong in their name and also the sequence.
The kids can hardly wait til its their turn to spell their name on the iPad. It is a program called Osmo. When it is their turn it will show a picture of them and they spell their name with the tile letters. These are a few of the ways we have been working on letter recognition & learning their names.
